The Connection Retreat
May 16-19, 2019
Holmstead Ranch Resort
Equine Therapy - Meditation - Yoga - Hiking - Sound Healing - Art Therapy - & More
We all want to feel connected in some way. We often desire to feel connected to the people in our lives, the Earth or maybe our purpose in life. There are moments when you may find yourself surrounded by people and Love and not feel connected to them or their Love. This prevents us from receiving the Love we are being given. Feelings of emptiness can grow from this space.
This retreat is located in southern utah, twenty minutes from St. George nestled in the beautiful hills of Holmstead Ranch. This area of the country is rich in sacred Earth energy. It is a powerful container for healing and transformation. Using the energy of the land, horses, meditation, yoga and other practices, you will be guided into connecting with your deepest and most authentic self. From this place, you can create the life that you dream about. Anything is possible.
If you have ever found yourself feeling alone or disconnected in the world, you will benefit from this retreat.
What if we could remember that the connection we are seeking through others, actually already lives within us, deep in our souls. In this retreat you will be guided to a deeper connection with you.
The magic of healing with horses will inevitably draw you into your deepest and truest self. Horses have an innate and profound ability to assess and show us what we need to look at within to find healing emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. Horses mirror our state of being. Through the horses we will be explore authentic connection. We will look at patterns, behaviors, thoughts and feelings that may keep us from connecting with ourselves and others. Through experiential learning, you will come home to yourself and let go of the things that no longer serve you. This will help you experience the connection and fulfillment you seek in life.
Throughout the weekend you will learn the spiritual practices of yoga and meditation as a tool to connect with your body, mind and spirit. You will be guided into a deeper connection with the sacred energy of the Earth in our outdoor sessions over the weekend. We will practice listening to nature as well as giving back to the beautiful force that provides us a home on this planet. The intention of connection will flow into every part of this retreat, including our food at meal times. All meals for the weekend will be healthy plant based options. Allergies and sensitivities can be accommodated.
There will be personal free time during the weekend to spend however you like. There are outdoor games and activities you are welcome to use. Feel free to swim in the lake or bring a kayak or stand up paddle board if you desire. There is hiking available as well, so please pack accordingly.
Holmstead Ranch Resort offers 10 cabins that each sleep up to four people. When registering you have the option of having a private cabin to yourself or you may share your cabin with up to 3 others. Letters from your facilitators...
For The Connection Retreat, I wish for people to get themselves, to get who they are underneath the shame, judgement and pain. This is a journey of remembrance. This journey to connection requires a willingness to be courageous and to step through your fear. We aren't meant to live a fearless life. We are meant to live a courageous life, giving ourselves permission to be afraid and choosing to do it anyway. This is transformation in action. Courage is what is needed to live a connected life. Rediscovering a life lived with the willingness to connect will transform your life. The how is up to you. Aubree and I have created The Connection Retreat as an opportunity to guide you deep into your healing. I am here to support you, guide you, Love you, and to help you remember the truth of who you are. I invite you to embark on this journey with us May 3-6 in Southern Utah at Holmstead Ranch Resort for The Connection Retreat. ~Dr. Matt
My journey has led me to this amazing experience to learn, grow and continue healing with all of you! My hope is to help guide an experience that helps you find Love, Healing and Genuine Connection with yourself and others through horses. I have been led to Equine work and believe in the healing power of this heart work. I believe everyone has the ability to overcome and I believe we are not meant to do this journey alone! Thank you for letting us be a part of yours during this retreat!
The Magic and Mystic of horses will inevitably draw one in. Horses have an innate and profound ability to assess us and show us what we need to look at within to find healing emotionally, physically and spiritually. The fact that horses can mirror our state of mind is powerful and if open and willing we can explore ourselves through the magic of horses. Through the horses we will be exploring Connection. We will look at patterns, behaviors, thoughts and feelings that may keep us from connecting with ourselves and others. Through experiential learning my hope is that you can draw near to yourself and others and let go of the things that no longer serve you so you may experience the love and joy that can come from true connection! Please note that all work with the horses will be done on the ground. We will not be riding them. ~Aubree Sullivan
